HTC One (M7) gets blessed with the Android 4.4.3 update as well

It looks like the T-Mobile HTC one (M8) isn’t the only handset in HTC’s lineup getting the Android 4.4.3 update today. HTC has also released the Android 4.4.3 update for last year’s HTC One (M7), bringing last year’s flagship phone in line with the latest build of HTC Sense 6 and Android 4.4.3 offered by HTC.

On the surface, it looks like the Android 4.4.3 update for the HTC one (M7) is pretty close to what HTC has been pushing out to the One (M8). It weighs in at 556.12 MB and includes the security patches that Google released in Android 4.4.4, updates to HTC’s camera and gallery app within Sense 6, along with a handful of bug fixes. While we’re always glad to see now updates, there really isn’t anything impressive that users will actually notice. That will come whenever Google decides to release Android L. HTC has already announced that the HTC One (M7) will be updated to Android L once the code is made available to the public. It’ll be interesting to see how HTC uses the latest version of Android to improve on the HTC One (M7) even more.

    1. You won’t get it unless you’re on Verizon. There devices didn’t get extreme power saver. That’s the only reason they’re getting it. I’ve had it on my Sprint m7 since March.

  1. Now if only they can fix the blasted magenta tint in the camera… Or come up with a built in color correction feature to compensate for said magenta tint

    1. Did the software cause the tint or is it a hardware problem… Asking as i want to update and i fear that updating might appear the tint althought there’s no connection

    2. HTC provided a free replacement of the camera for this issue. You may want to check with the dealer.
