HTC is looking forward to next year and so is HTC’s new Chief Marketing Officer, Benjamin Ho who will be joining the team in January 2013. He is set to leave his current position as marketing lead for Far EasTone Telecommunications Co a carrier company from Taipei.
As the new Marketing Chief for HTC, Mr. Ho’s focus will be all about holistic marketing and mass-market outreach for our beloved Smartphone manufacturer. Expect to see a new phase of commercials with flashy HTC phones on the frontline.
It is hopeful that the new strategy will turn things around for HTC as the company has seen several quarters of declining sales figures. HTC has fallen several positions in the ranks amongst other manufacturers like Samsung and Apple, but the company is still bringing in a profit and is in no way ready to throw in the towel.
Since HTC and Apple reached a civil agreement last month, to compensate one another over patents each company holds that have been disputed, HTC can re-aim some of its focus on real priorities like getting the brand out in the public as the true competitor against its rivalries.
