Many people have already written off the HTC Tattoo as a cheap Android phone for the mass market. The specs don’t offer anything new over the HTC Hero and the 2.8 inch resistive screen is definitely a downgrade. But HTC is hoping that a cheap, mass market Android powered phone is exactly what people are looking for. We’ve known for quite some time now that the Tattoo would feature interchangeable faceplates, but now HTC has just launched a new website (www.tattoomyhtc.com) where HTC Tattoo owners can purchase a variety of pre-designed faceplates or create their own. Prices start at 11.99 Euro and go up to 14.99 Euro for custom designed faceplates. HTC allows you to choose from over 80 colors, 18 patterns, and custom text, but if that’s not enough options for you, you can always design your own image and upload it to the site to use. If you do happen to pick up the HTC Tattoo, HTC has included a unique offer code with each phone for a 20% discount on your first faceplate purchase.
