The HTC 10 may be the first Android device to launch with Apple AirPlay support right out of the box, but older HTC devices can now treat media to AirPlay connected device with the latest update to the HTC Connect app through Google Play. Once HTC Connect is installed and updated on your HTC phone, you will be able to stream video or music to the Apple TV or other AirPlay enabled speakers.
While AirPlay isn’t widely adopted by third-party speaker manufacturers, we know that quite a few people use Apple TV on a regular basis. The interactivity between your HTC device and the Apple TV is limited in comparison to what you can do with a Chromecast, but it’s always nice when HTC rolls out new functionality which allows you to connect your smartphone with other gadgets you may already own.
