So… we have yet another rumor to share regarding HTC’s 2016 flagship smartphone. According to 4GNews, the HTC Perfume (aka the HTC One M10) will be unveiled at an event in London on April 11. We have no way of verifying the accuracy of the claims, but it does contradict the rumors that the phone would be announced in March.
On top of that, the rumor also claims that the phone will not launch as the HTC One M10. The HTC One moniker is expected to stay, but the M10 may be dropped or replaced by another name or alphanumeric combination. This bit of information matches up with details which were shared in August of 2015, claiming that HTC’s 2016 flagship would move away from the current HTC One branding. At the time, the information was tied to the rumored HTC O2 which has since been killed off and replaced with the HTC Perfume.
While an April 11 launch date may seem too far off, we’d like to remind you that the HTC One M8 showed up in stores the same day that it was announced. Yes, we waited longer than usual for the unveiling, but customers didn’t have to wait 3-4 week before they could buy the phone. We have no clue if HTC is planning the same tactic this time around, but we sure hope that we won’t have to wait long if HTC is planning to unveil the new phone on April 11.
I’m patient … I can wait … *wink*
Great design
I hate the idea of no more boomsound
This looks so promissing
Hope htc woud make it to better adv.
HTC Perfume, that’s a weird name.
hTC must listen their fans/customers if they wanna get on top again.
hTC must improve camera quality seriously and change the hardware design and software interface as well, bezel-less must be the need, left-right top-bottom bezels must be smaller, especially top and bottom bezels, it’s too big, hTC waste the space like bullshit with that hTC logo, I don’t wanna see hTC kill hTC logo off on the surface, may be get rid boomsound instead… If hTC perfume will not come up with boomsound speakers then I hopefully it will come up with high quality sound card inside for the great music experience for music lovers around the world.
