The HTC One M10 (HTC Perfume) is back in the news today thanks to a leaked image from @evleaks which shows off the front of the phone in white. While the main characteristics of the white M10 match up with the black model which was leaked a while back, but there are a few differences. The speaker grill and fingerprint sensor on the white M10 are both wider than those from the black M10 image.
Since we’re still at least a month out from the phone’s officially unveiling, it’s not surprising to see multiple devices which show variations in the small details. HTC is likely testing a handful of slightly tweaked M10 designs to see which ones perform better in day-to-day use.
Which look do you prefer?

every phone now looks like the same…wtf
Sorry, but I don’t get anything remotely resembling something associated with Perfume with M10 HTC! What I do get a whiff of, however, is another steaming pile, another wasted year and another failed flagship 2016…
Firstly, it will almost certainly have a pitifully undersized battery because of the change in design language to the flattened “Poor man’s iPhone” look. I much preferrred the tapered thicker in the centre design. Felt better in hand and housed a bigger battery which made things more practical. Even Samsung have dropped the flat back from S6 and swiched to curved with a much bigger battery for the S7 variants.
Screen size at 5.2″ is not amazing. Could have gone a bit bigger if the bezels were slimmed down.
Still, same great camera sensor as the Nexus 6P which is definitely a good thing, especially if OIS is added to HTC’s great software.
However, dropping Boomsound front speakers just as competitors are adopting it, is a mistep pure and simple.
But I just don’t see who is gonna buy this phone at the premium they’re surely gonna charge. There are a million chinese iPhone clones flodding the Asian market and in the west people will actually just buy an actual iPhone or a Samsung.
The niche tech-head market that HTC owned in 2013-14 have already jumped ship and probably already own a 6P because it is pretty much a complete package and great in every way at a great price which much lower than the usual OEM suspects.
So who exactly does that leave?…
I’m sure there are still a few diehard HTC fanboys, such as yourself Nick, but there aren’t enough to get HTC out of the hole they’re in…
