As we expected, the details we shared yesterday about the HTC One X9 are already changing. New information shared by @evleaks and @LlabTooFeR paint the HTC One X9 in a much different light. Rather than being an up-market variant of the HTC One A9, the rumored device will likely be another mid-range device in HTC’s One lineup.
Specs of the HTC One X9 (which is also being referenced as HTC E56) have been downgraded to a Mediatek SoC with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, camera 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS, 4 UltraPixel front-facing cam and a 3000 mAh battery. The phone is expected to launch 2-3 month before the HTC One M10 which likely means that it will show up in at least a few markets starting in late January.
It’s nice to get new details about the HTC One X9’s specs, but we’re still questioning the design of the phone that was show on in yesterday’s leak. Hopefully we’ll get more information about that the device will look like in the coming days.

.@stagueve All wrong. E56 sports a Mediatek SoC & 5.5″ FHD display. Memory is just 2GB/16GB, camera 13MP/4UP (OIS), w/ a 3000mAh battery.

For the record, I didn’t see anyone complaining about the bezel in the mock-up…..they’ll probably have to find something else to complain about.
