Nearly four weeks after Sprint started rolling out the Android 5.1 update for the HTC One M9, T-Mobile has flipped the switch, making the update available to its customers as well. The 833MB software build includes all the basics of Android 5.1, the new Android kill switch which doesn’t allow the phone to be used even after it’s been wiped, battery life, changing and heat management improvements and tweaks the camera quality.
T-Mobile is releasing the software update for the One M9 is waves between now and August 20th, but you should be able to ping T-Mobile’s servers and download the update a bit quicker by going to Settings > System updates >HTC software update > Check now.
