Nexus 9 receiving Android 5.0.2 update

After months of waiting, the Android 5.0.2 update for the Nexus 9 is finally available. The 23.3MB update doesn’t come with any fancy new features, but it does promise to improve performance and squash a few bugs – something that’s desperately needed. While the Nexus 9 is a very capable device, the tablet has been plagued with issues since the very beginning. It’s unclear if Android Lollipop is to blame of it Google’s engineers are struggling to optimize the software to work on the Nvidia Tegra K1 chip.

Now that Android 5.0.2 is making its way to the Nexus 9, we hope Google’s software engineers switching their focus to the Android 5.1 update which was released for other Nexus devices back in March.
