HTC has already confirmed that the HTC One M8 will be updated to HTC Sense 7, but a Tweet from HTC UK how gives us an idea of when that update will be delivered. HTC UK will begin updating the HTC One M8 to Android 5.1 with HTC Sense 7 this August. While the update to HTC Sense Home has already delivered many of the Sense 7 features to phone running Sense 6, the new update will deliver deeper theming capabilities and other subtle tweaks dispersed throughout the OS.
HTC’s UK models are typically among the first to recevie major software updates, so don’t be surprised to service provider testing pushes the software release of US models back a month or two.

Do you know if this update will have a fix for the Stagefright virus going around right now. I have been hit hard by the Stagefright virus right now and need a fix for my HTC ONE M8 running lollipop 5.0.2. The virus hha taking over my phone and is controlling most of my apps and is going through my phone looking for information.
I have been talking with my carrier and they have no answer.
I nnee some hhel with my phone please.
More importantly. Will this fix the battery issues caused by the last update?
Whereby the system is drained of all power if the phone is left on and attached to a charger at the same time. My HTC M8 now only charges if switched OFF! When/if the battery reaches 100% the life span is considerably reduced. Doesn’t last even a day!
