A leaked document reveals that Sprint is planning to release the Android 5.0 update for the HTC One (M8) and One (M8) Harman Kardon on February 13. Think of it as an early Valentine’s Day present. Sprint and HTC have yet to comment on the leaked documents, but we typically do not hear anything official about the release date for major updates until the service provider gives their sign off (usually 24-48 hours before the OTA update is released).
Sprint was the first service provider in the US to release the Android 5.0 update for the HTC One (M7), but we’re hoping AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon are able to deliver Lollipop to their versions of the HTC One (M8) before February 13 since HTC has originally promised that the update would be available before February 1.
