The budget-friendly HTC Desire 610 may soon be available on another US service provider. AT&T started selling the HTC Desire 610 in July, but new FCC documents show that the phone sporting Verizon network compatibility has now been certified as well. The HTC Desire 610 is equipped with a 4.7-inch qHD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, mircoSD card slot, BoomSound front-facing speakers, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a 2040 mAh battery.
AT&T’s HTC Desire 816 is a bit of a downgrade from the international version since the display resolution was reduced to FWVGA (854×480) from qHD (960 x 540), but the component swap has allowed AT&T to list the phone for $199.99 without a contract. it’s unclear if the Verizon HTC Desire 610’s specs will match those of the AT&T model, but we do expect the phone to be listed for under $250.
It’s nice to see that US consumers will finally getting budget-friendly smartphone options from HTC.
