The update’s main features include Bluetooth and data connectivity improvements, slight tweaks to the gallery app (not sure why since a newer version can be pulled directly from the Play Store), better roaming notifications and… Well, that’s about it. If you were hoping the Verizon HTC One (M8) would be getting the Extreme Power Saving Mode which promises 15 hours of battery life on just 5% charge, you’ll have to wait for another update. We’re not sure why Verizon and HTC decided not to include it with this update, but we’re hoping the feature will be making its way to the phone soon.
If have not yet received an update notification on your Sprint HTC One (M8), go to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now. Now that Verizon and Sprint have rolled out updates to the HTC One (M8), it’s only a matter of time before we see a system update with similar bug fixes for the AT&T and T-Mobile models of the phone.

Rest of One X or X+.
Anyone have any idea when Verizon will roll out extreme power saving mode for the M8?
I’d love to know too, it’s a bunch of bs lol
July 6th and still no power saving mode on my m8 with Verizon.
what about the led notification?
is it gonna work after the update ?
Are you saying that your LED doesn’t flash when you get new messages? Do you get a light when you are charging? Have you tried a factory reset? My LED works and makes me wonder if this is local to your phone. Have you checked with others in the community, like XDA or the HTC One community on Google+?
