Update for Sprint HTC One (M8) delivers Extreme Power Saving Mode

The HTC One (M8) has yet to reach Sprint retail stores across the country, but that’s not stopping the service provider from pushing out an update to the phone. The  1.54.651.8 software build weighs in at 115MB and offers up stability and call improvements along with HTC’s Extreme Power Saving Mode which promises 15 hours of battery life on just 5% charge.

Since the change log for the update is a bit vague (it actually does not mention the inclusion of Extreme Power Saving Mode), there may be more features tucked away in the update which were not mentioned. If have not yet received an update notification on your Sprint HTC One (M8), go to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now. Sprint says that the updates are being released in stages, but we can’t image it’ll take them too long to update all activated devices since the phone has only been available online since March 25. Now we just need AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile to step up and release the update for their versions of the HTC One (M8).

Let us know how the update goes and if you spot any other features that were not mentioned.
