The HTC Droid DNA is now available for pre-order if you are an eligible Verizon Wireless customer or are planning to make the jump. Those of us on networks other than Verizon may want to add this to our Christmas lists, because according to DroidDog the Droid DNA is shipping fully unlocked and ready for the carrier SIM of your choice.
As of lately Verizon had been marketing a handful of their phones add world phones; meaning they are able to use SIM cards from other countries, because the phones have the proper wireless bands in them. Until now, most of these worlds phones did not debut with this type of access, despite always having the capability, but a few months after release a software patch would unlock the service to classify it a world phone.
The source points out the following bands are present on the Droid DNA and as long as you punch in the correct Access Point Name (APN) paired with the correct SIM card the phone will work on your non-Verizon carrier.
Bands: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
We will certainly confirm this when we get our hands on a demo unit since HTCSource authors are on T-Mobile and AT&T.
Would you be willing to pay full price for the best phone on the market?

That’s mean people in Asia may can use this device, right?
sorry for my broken English…
Hey Pom. As long as your network uses one of the bands listed and you have a SIM you should be good to go.
Bands: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
We’re know for a long time that this would be an international/global phone, but that fact that Verizon has left it unlocked it simply amazing. I may actually buy the DROID DNA to use on T-Mobile. Right now, it will only work on EDGE, but that will change in the coming months as T-Mobile works on its network re-farming program to make way for LTE.
Hi,
Can I buy it unlocked, if yes what will be the price. Is it possible to buy from Verizon without any contract and unlocked?
Thanks.
Even though an unlocked Droid DNA costs about $600, I think it is worth it since it such a good phone. I have a Droid DNA through Verizon, and it’s so good that I think it should be on every network. The screen is great for watching movies on. I like using the DISH Remote Access app, which lets me stream live TV through the Sling Adapter I have connected to my receiver. The app is useful when I can’t be home to watch my shows since it works anywhere. One of my DISH coworkers also has a Droid DNA, and we can both agree that it is the best phone to watch TV on.
can buy this with contract and unlock this phone in india??
