Sprint HTC Arrive Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update now available

The official support page for the HTC Arrive on Sprint’s site has been updated, detailing the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update.  While the page itself doesn’t mention Mango at all, the list of new features and software enhancements are unmistakable.  As with other updates, HTC Arrive owners will need to download and install Zune in order to get the new update running on their phones.

The HTC Arrive will automatically check in with Microsoft’s servers once every three days to see if the update is available, but if you want to check things on your own, simply follow the steps below.

  1. Press Start and tap the Right Arrow for the Applications menu
  2. Tap Settings > phone update
  3. If an update is available and you want to learn more and install it on your phone, connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with it
  4. On your computer, run the Zune software if it doesn’t start automatically
  5. In the Zune software, select Settings > Phone > Update
Just like your computer, your phone’s software needs to be updated periodically to make sure you have all the latest fixes and enhancements to keep it running at optimal performance. Follow the steps below to check your current version and perform any needed updates.
So what are you waiting for?  Go download Windows Phone 7.5 for the HTC Arrive and let us know how things go.  There are enough new features in the update to keep most people happy for at least a few more months.  Happy updating!

  1. I am on the East Coast. It is DTG 271132RSEP2011 and we have not gotten the update yet. What is the deployment schedule?

    1. Everything we have heard indicates that the HTC Arrive will be getting the update today. T-Mobile also sent out a tweet indicating that the HTC HD7 is getting the update starting at noon today.

  2. I also have not received the update yet for my arrive phone. Spoke with sprint today and they seem to not really know anything about it.

  3. 10/10/11 – A Sprint Supervisor informed me that there is a known issue regarding why the Arrives are not being updated to the Mango OS via the Zune Software. It does involve a technical issue of sorts apparently. They did not have an update to when the software would be available again to upgrade the phones.

  4. I still don’t have access to the update, my ZUNE software says “Trouble connecting to the update server” and I can not find another way to download the update. Help?!
