Engadget is reporting leaked information, that the HTC EVO’s Android 2.3.3 update should start rolling out this Friday. There are some big changes in there, like a dedicated downloads application, and bug fixes for SMS glitches, multiple Gmail account support, and power management improvements. Specifically, an issue with charging the device when the battery is run down to under 10 % 0r fully discharged in use. SO you might want to find yourself a good backup program in the market, and start getting ready for the big OTA update.
If June 6th is simply too far out, you can manually download the update on June 3rd. Simply press Menu > Settings > System Updates > HTC Software Update > Check Now > OK > Yes. Happy Updating!
