Leaked Android 2.3.3 build gives the EVO 4G a taste of Gingerbread

HTC EVO 4G owners may soon be getting their long-awaited Gingerbread update.  Earlier today a leaked Android 2.3.3 build for the HTC EVO 4G showed up on the web and was quickly modded into a fully-functional ROM.  We’ve know that the HTC EVO’s Gingerbread update wouldn’t include any of the cool 3D features found in HTC Sense 3.0, but it’s a little disappointing that HTC and Sprint haven’t included any of the enhancements found in the latest version of Sense.  While the updated build brings the standard Google enhancements to the EVO, you will not find any of the enhanced Sense features which allow you to skin and customize your UI or integration into htcsense.com.

If you haven’t played around with a Gingerbread ROM for the HTC EVO 4G yet, we suggest you give the leaked build a try.  But if you’ve been flashing any of the Desire S or leaker Desire HD Gingerbread builds, there’s really nothing interesting here for you to see.
