Introducing the HTC Wildfire S, specs, images, and press release

Rounding out HTC’s 2011 Mobile World Congress handset lineup is the new HTC Wildfire S, the smallest handset ever made by HTC.  While it’s not the thinnest device we’ve ever laid eyes on, the HTC Wildfire S measures in at 101.3 x 59.1 x 12.4mm and weighs only 105 grams.  The HTC Wildfire may be the new smallest phone in HTC’s lineup at MWC but its specs are pretty much on par with the HTC Salsa and ChaCha.  Hardware features include a 3.2-inch 480 x 320 capacitive display, 600 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, 3.5mm headphone jack, 801.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS.

The HTC Wildfire S will come loaded up with HTC Sense on top of Gingerbread and should be available in mid Q2 like most to other new devices from HTC.

  1. are any of the new “S” phones going to have 4g capability and are they for tmobile, verizon, etc..

  2. All the new phones announced at Mobile World Congress are technically intended for the European market. HTC typically reserves their U.S. announcements for CTIA which is help in March. The HTC ChaCha and Salsa are the only two phones that HTC mention would be heading to the U.S. market. In that case, the two phones will be available exclusively from AT&T later this year.
