GameString shows off game streaming on the HTC Desire

Ever wonder what it would be like to play World of Warcraft of your HTC phone? Mobile gaming has come a long ways in the past few years, but it’s still hard to pull fans away from their computers or dedicated gaming systems. But since most of us spend the majority of our time on the go, GameString thought it would be nice if you could simply take our PC gaming along with us. The GameString “gaming in the cloud” concept is only an Alpha demonstration at this point, but things look promising. Basically it allows you use a host server to stream a game over the internet while applying a customized user interface for your mobile device.

We’re pretty sure that GameString has a lot of things to work out before they actually roll this service out to the public, but it’s nice to see that game developers may have a new option to look at in the near future. Rather than playing Angry Birds or MiniArmy, just imagine pulling out your HTC phone and playing Black Ops of joining a raid in World of Warcraft.
