New HTC phones getting FCC approval is nothing new, but the PG06100 is a bit special since it is only the second HTC handset to feature support for Sprint’s Wi-Max network. Like most other FCC filings, the only image we have is of the FCC certification label which will most likely be placed on the inside of the handset’s battery compartment. For now, we’re going to assume that the PG06100 and the HTC EVO Shift 4G are one and the same, though we wouldn’t complain if Sprint and HTC have another handset in the works. The HTC EVO Shift 4G isn’t expected to launch this month, but we have it on pretty good authority that Sprint will be launching the new 4G Android handset in time for the holidays.
