Nexus One (Google Phone) news recap – now with FCC approval

It used to be that HTC and Android news was pretty slow over the weekend. I could easily not turn my computer on for two days and things would almost be the same come Monday mornings. Last weekend we got our first glimpse of HTC’s lineup for the first six months of 2010. This weekend we got the Google Phone!

Details after the jump!

If you’ve been living in a cave or don’t have a Twitter account, here’s a quick recap of what went down over the weekend:

  • Google announced that they had sent out a handset to their employees for testing – HTC Source
  • Reports confirm that the Google phone will be named Nexus One and is made by HTC – Android and Me
  • The Nexus One (Google Phone) should be the same as the HTC Passion we have already spotted – HTC Source
  • Google will sell the Nexus One directly as an unlocked GSM handset with T-Mobile USA and Euro 3G support – Engadget/Android and Me
  • T-Mobile will support the launch of the Nexus One with general troubleshooting, questions, and billing – Android and Me
  • Nexus One gets FCC clearance as model number PB99100 built by HTC – Engadget
  • Pictures of the Nexus One hit the internet – Engadget
  • Sample camera pictures from Nexus One hit the internet – AndroidGuys

That’s a whole lot of information to come in over the weekend from multiple sources, but there are still some questions left unanswered. There is still no official confirmation on the processor speed and internal memory of the HTC made Nexus One. Also, I’m sure you guys are all wondering exactly when the Nexus One will go on sale. The best answer we have for you is: early 2010.

Until we know more, we hope you enjoy a few images of/from the Nexus One.
