HTC Tattoo to grace European markets in October

Apparently HTC is hard at work.  We just recently got the news about the new Touch2, then Sprint announced that they are bringing the Hero to the U.S. market and now HTC is back again with the official unveiling of the HTC Tattoo.  If you’ve just recently purchased the HTC Hero, you have nothing to worry about since the new HTC Tattoo is an entry level Android phone for the mass market.  The screen size has dropped to 2.8" and HTC has chosen to add in a d-pad to replace the trackball that has been on the Dream, Magic, and the Hero.  The HTC Tattoo is expected to ship in European markets sometime in the beginning of October, with a global rollout in the following months. I’m not sure if you noticed, but HTC thinks that all entr-level Android handsets should have a custom UI.  HTC will be shippign the Tattoo with their Sense UI as well as all their other Andrid tweaks that they included in the HTC Hero.  Let’s hope we see fewer and and fewed "with Google" phones released.
