I’m sure by now most of you are wondering if we are ever going to talk about another phone besides the HTC Hero. Fortunately, we are. This morning, Verizon Wireless issues a press release detailing the launch of the Verizon HTC Ozone (HTC Snap). Similar to Sprint’s version of the HTC Snap, the Verizon HTC Ozone will feature Windows mobile 6.1, 3G data capabilities, GPS, full QWERT keyboard, and an incredible 1500mAh of battery power.
The advantage that HTC Ozone buyers will have over their Sprint counterparts is the price point. Verizon will let you walk out the store with this shiny new handset for only $49.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate. That’s a full $100 less than what Sprint is charging for the same exact phone. Is that $100 price difference enough for a potential buyer to switch carrier? T-Mobile is planning on launching the HTC Snap as the T-Mobile Dash 3G within the next ten days, lets just hope that they will be selling the phone for the same price Verizon is.
The HTC Ozone will be available to purchase on June 29 from their website or any of their retail locations across the country. For more details, be sure to check out the press release after the break.
