Full video review of the All New HTC One gets leaked less than 48 hours of the device’s debut

UPDATE: The YouTube version of the video was pulled so we have now embeded a backed up copy of the review for your convenience!

HTC and tech fans alike are on their heels waiting for the big event this Tuesday, March 25th when HTC will unveil every detail of the All New HTC One, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited to see a full video review now. Our source below links a video from a foreign tech blog whom has already had enough hands on time with the HTC M8 to give it a detailed video review of the new hardware and fresh software features.

Despite the commentary being in German, it is pretty easy to follow along by simply watching how the user interacts with the All New HTC One.

The design is similar to last year’s model in the sense that it was beautifully made from aluminum, but it has new curves which look like the phone will settle better in the hands of the user and has more of a brushed finish. We get to see the new cameras in action and there’s even a 3-D effect tossed in for an added effect. We will have to investigate further into this awesome “ufocus” software enhancement shown around the seven minute mark in the video.

New software features that really stand out are the new ways to wake the All New HTC One from a dark screen. It looks like there are three gestures; swiping from the bottom and up, swiping from left to right, and swiping from right to left. Each method has a slightly different experience when the phone wakes and there’s also the double-tap feature to bring the phone on. HTC BlinkFeed has been touched up as well. The lines between articles look slimmer and the text overlays the articles better too. If I heard the commentary correctly there may now be some integration of the stats generate from a FitBit into BlinkFeed which sounds pretty cool. At least those that use the health monitoring device could get the stats right from BlinkFeed instead of launching the manufacturer’s primary application.

    1. obviously, they need to know that megapixels do count especially when you get the amount of details on a photograph… we don’t expect 41MP like Nokia but in order to compete… HTC needs to upgrade from that 4MP ULTRAPIXELS

        1. 4MP is back then. Even if the photo itself looks amazing, the lack amount of details make it look mediocre compared to the rest of the competition. If HTC has implemented Oppo’s Super Zoom picture and combining 10 pictures to make a great 8+MP picture, it wouldn’t really be an issue.

    2. All you need is 8 to 12 megapixel, any bigger is not needed & any smaller give you a small photo.

  1. So happy you can put in 128 GB memorie card.
Love the 3D option. 2GB with 60GB and 801 snapdragon sounds great.
And infared to use as remote control.
    frontcamera 5 megapixel
    backcamera 4.1 and 2 megapixel
(and I am not sure but it sounds like there is a model with 230GB?)

  2. Ok, here we go. I’m gonna say it. This phone is a massive disappointment. A) it is thicker, heavier, and looks bulkier and old. B) the camera is absolutely gimmicky and doesn’t seem to fix any of the one’s original camera issues. C) very limited hardware upgrade compared to the old one with sd card support being the only real novelty.

I love HTC phones but I’m sticking to my Nexus 5. I don’t think HTC are making the right choices and I would onestly hate to see them fail again. I truely hope I’m wrong

  3. The dual cameras are, 1) 5UltraPixels for low-light pictures

    2)16MP for high light pictures.

Front facing camera is an upgrade too, but really how many selfie can one take on the HTC One?
