T-Mobile’s software update for the HTC 8X delayed to “perform a few tweaks”

T-Mobile’s software update for the HTC 8X delayed to “perform a few tweaks”

The Windows Phone software update for T-Mobile’s HTC 8X will not be released today as previously expected. Apparently, a few issues came up during testing which forced T-Mobile to delay the software update to “perform a few tweaks” before the update is pushed out to consumers. We’re not sure who’s at fault here, but we’re hoping that Microsoft will take the lead and make sure the update is fixed and pushed out as soon as possible.

Like many other Windows 8 phones, the HTC 8X has been suffering from a handful of glitches, including issues with Bluetooth and random reboots. We’ll keep you updated on the issue if more information is made available.

“I know you were eagerly anticipating a new software update today and I wanted to give you a status update. In order to ensure the best possible experience with your device, we have temporarily delayed the release of the update to perform a few tweaks. We’re working hard to ensure that we get the update to you as quickly as possible.”
