HTC Icon and Snap 2 could be HTC’s Facebook phones

And here we go again! We’re less than 6 hours away from HTC unveiling their new line of handsets, but we have another set of leaked images which depict the fabled Facebook enhanced device from HTC. Just like the rumors, the images show off a touch-only device and a front QWERTY device with a dedicated Facebook button near the bottom of the handset. Both devices will feature an always-on GSP connection which will allow users to geo-tag and directly upload their images to their Facebook account.

According to new information, the touch-only device will be named the HTC Icon and the QWERTY handset will launch at the HTC Snap 2. We’re not exactly sure why the Snap name is being used since the last time it was used was for a Windows Phone handset from about 18 months ago.

With HTC’s press event only hours away, we won’t have to wait long to get the official word on these two new handsets. We’re still not 100% sold on the idea of a dedicated Facebook button on our Android phones, but if HTC can figure out a way to make it a must-have feature, we’re confident that carriers will have no problem selling these devices.
