It’s been a while since HTC has released a Desire phone. Some were hoping that HTC had finally killed off the budget-friendly sub-brand since cheaper devices like the HTC U11 Life did a good job of filling that category. But, according to Evan Blass, there’s an HTC Desire 12 in the works.
The entry-level phone is said to feature a low-end MediaTek chip with only 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 2,730 mAh battery to keep the phone powered up, but its 5.5-inch display will have an 18:9 aspect ratio. We’re not sure what the phone will look like, but we suspect it’ll have a plastic body like the U11 life. No information has been given regarding the phone’s release date, market availability or pricing at this time.
*This will come to market as the HTC Desire 12.
