With the doors of CES scheduled to swing open on Tuesday morning, HTC released a vague teaser on Twitter which hints that an updated version of the HTC Vive will be unveiled. For now, the only real clue HTC has given regarding the new unit is that it will have higher resolution displays which would translate into a more pleasurable and immersive VR experience.
The image below looks pretty similar to the original Vive, but those familiar with the device will clearly see that the circles for the trackers on the headset are slightly different.
I’m currently packing my bags for CES and have time scheduled for HTC early next week. Hopefully, I’ll be able to set the new unit for myself. If I do, I’ll definitely let you guys know what to expect with the updated unit.
