When you picked up our HTC U11+ this morning, we were greeted with an update notification for the device. The changelog for the 1.05.709.12 update simply stated that it included system improvements and bug fixes, though we haven’t really run into any issues with our unit so far.
We’ll be taking a close look at the software today to notice if there any changes worth sharing. Our specific device was purchased in Taiwan, so it’s unclear if the Chinese variant which went on sale over the weekend will be receiving the same update. Since the European model doesn’t go on sale for a few more weeks, we suspect the new firmware will be installed at the factory rather than being pushed out as an OTA update.
