The official unveiling of the second generation Pixel devices isn’t until the middle of this week, but new images have hit the web (thanks to @evleaks), showing us the front and back sides of both phones.
The image above is the Pixel 2 XL which features an 18:9 aspect ratio display. If the rumors are true, this phone will not be built by HTC. The device is said to be built y LG and will likely be very similar to the LG V30 which was unveiled a few weeks back.
The two images below are of the Pixel 2, which is being built by HTC. We saw the design of the back a few days ago, but the front of the phone looks very familiar as well. If you take a look back at Google’s older Nexus phones, it’s not hard to notice the similarities between the Pixel 2 and the Nexus 5X. The phone features front-facing speakers above and below the display and extremely thick bezels at the top and bottom. We’ve not exactly sure why Google would want the bezels to be so large. Maybe it’s a ploy to get consumers to opt for the larger Pixel XL which will be at least $100 more expensive.
Based on design alone, which of these two Pixel phones would you buy?
