HTC announced the HTC U11 in Solar Red for the US market back in mid-June and started taking pre-orders for the phone on June 20th. If you were among those who pre-ordered the phone from HTC’s website, you should be pleased to know that the phone will soon be making its way to your front door.
The HTC U11 in Solar Red is officially in stock and shipping. The $650 price of the phone matches what HTC is charging for the other three colors, but you can still use the AMAZINGU11 promo code during checkout to drop the price of the phone to $599. Naturally, the promo code also works for any of the other colors the HTC U11 is offered in, so you don’t have to go with Solar Red if you don’t want to.
We’re still not sure if the HTC U11 will help HTC’s bottom line this quarter, but from everything we’ve seen, the phone is a bigger success than what HTC has planned for.
