The HTC U11 is the best smartphone we’ve seen from the company in years. HTC released a 64GB and 128GB version of the phone, but the latter has only been available in a handful of select markets. But that’s about to change.
Starting tomorrow, HTC will start taking pre-order for the 128GB model of the HTC U11 in the US for $729. The price is a bit more than the $650 HTC is asking for the base HTC U11, but you also get 6GB of RAM in addition to doubling the internal storage of the phone. And keep in mind that the U11 also supports microSD cards up to 2TB. HTC has not mentioned how soon the HTC U11 with 128GB of storage will start shipping in the US, but we expect HTC won’t make you wait more than 2-3 weeks for the phone.
Having the 128GB version of the HTC U11 available in the US should give potential Samsung Galaxy S8 owners another reason to consider getting HTC’s flagship smartphone instead. If you’re not aware, $729 is the same price that Samsung is charging for the base Galaxy S8 which has 4GB of RAM and only 64GB of storage.
