Google has announced that it has a fix for the Pixel’s random freezing issue that some Pixel and Pixel XL owners have been reporting over the past few months. The June security update for the Pixel “should address many of the freezing issues that have been reported.”
The news was shared by Google’s Community Manager along with the news that the forthcoming update will be released within the next few days. While Google expects the fix to solve most of the issues, they are still encouraging the community members to post any issues that they find after the update is installed. To us, that sounds like Google isn’t 100% sure that the fix will resolve the issue entirely.
Leave us a comment and let us know how your Pixel’s been treating you lately. The device we have on hand has not had any issues, but we know that there are a lot of factors at play.
