If you were waiting for the HTC U11 to be back in stock from htc.com in the US, we have good news for you. HTC has announced that its 2017 flagship smartphone is no longer on back order with shipments of new purchases going out immediately.
Stock of the HTC U11 through HTC’s website dried up within hours of the phone going on sale in the US last week. It’s nice to know that US customer can purchase the phone directly from HTC again, but HTC executes revealed today that they don’t expect global supply of the phone to catch up with demand until sometime in July.
The reason for the supply shortage isn’t 100% clear but HTC did confirm in a shareholder meeting that sales of the HTC U11 have exceeded those of last year’s HTC 10 and 2015’s HTC One M9. We don’t have any exact figured on what the sales number actually are, but it’s nice to know that demand for a flagship HTC smartphone is exceeding the company’s expectations.
Good news —The #HTCU11 is back in stock and shipping. Upgrade now: https://t.co/TasbhQNnAu
