There’s been a lot of talk about the HTC U11 being one of the fastest smartphones of 2017. HTC’s optimization of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip inside the phone also has a lot to do with how the phone performs, but it helps that the chip itself is a lot faster than the previous generation chip that LG is using inside the LG G6.
That’s right, LG’s 2017 flagship smartphone is running on the Snapdragon 821 which made its debut in the second half of 2016. The 821 isn’t a slouch, but it’s not nearly as powerful as the newer 835.
