HTC has sent out a “save the date” notice for the unveiling of the HTC U. The event will take place at HTC’s headquarters in Taipei at 2pm (7am in London or 2am in New York) on May 16. The image above shows a blurry outline of the HTC U and the “squeeze for the brilliant U” tagline suggests that the HTC U gesture controls leaks are on point.
Previous rumors suggested that the phone would be unveiled in late April with a mid-May release. There’s no indication as to when the HTC U will go on sale, but we’re hoping that we won’t have to wait long after the phone’s unveiling on May 16.
