It’s a bit later than expected, but the HTC 10 sold by Verizon is scheduled to receive its Android Nougat update on March 30. The unlocked HTC 10 for the US received its Android 7.0 update way back in November of 2016. We’re not sure why the Verizon-branded device took so long to get its update, but we have a feeling that Verizon’s involvement played at least a minor roll in the delay.
Once the Android 7.0 update is installed on the phone, users will have all the new bells and whistles that Google has baked into the Nougat release. Our favorites include split-screen apps, quick switch between apps, notification bundling and notification quick reply.
Hopefully Verizon’s HTC 10 customers won’t have to wait this long when the Android O update is make available later this fall.
HTC 10 Verizon owners! Greatly appreciate all your patience and support. N OS is here! We have TA and OTA to start on Thur 3/30. Thank you!
