With the HTC U launch event scheduled for January 12th, we may finally be getting insight into what the HTC U Ultra may have to offer. New details about the phone have been shared by upleaks which claim the HTC U Ultra will be an impressive device.
The HTC U Ultra’s spec sheet is said to include a 6-inch WQHD display, Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a dual-camera array with 24 and 13-megapixel sensors on the back, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, 4,000 mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The leak makes no mention of the second display which was shown in a recently leaked image of the U Ultra, but that doesn’t necessarily indicate that the leaked image is a fake. With little over 48 hours to go until the phone’s unveiling, it’s nice to know that the HTC U Ultra still has a lot of secrets to be revealed.
I really doubt it will be Snapdragon 835, but maybe 821 unless the standard flagship will not come for several months.
Whatever the case, I hope it’s an impressive device, gets some good marketing traction, is well received and generates good sales.
Could this be considered the HTC 11? So soon?!
Hard to say. It’s a bit too soon for the HTC 11, but HTC has been able to keep leaks to a minimum, so anything is possible.
