HTC and HP are teaming up to offer a VR-ready bundle which includes the HTC Vive and HP ENVY 750-415VHR for the low price of $1499.99. Those keeping tabs of the prices of HP’s VR-ready computers will know that this bundle will save you $200 if you were planning to buy the Vive and HP ENVY 750-415VHR separately. The HP ENVY 750 will not have the Vive’s software and drivers pre-installed, but it will come with a USB drive which includes everything you need to get started without needing to download the software from HTC’s site. The USB drive also includes theBlu: Encounter by Wevr and The Lab by Valve.
The savings aren’t as significant if you pick up the base HP Envy 750 from Amazon for $529, MSI RADEON RX 480 for $225 and the Vive for $800. But the VR-Ready bundle is still $55 cheaper and a lot more convenience since the graphics card comes pre-installed.
We’d be interested in hearing how much you spent for your VR-ready computer. If you have any suggestions for other readers who may be interested in picking up a VR-ready computer or building one for themselves, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
