Concept renders of the upcoming Nexus Sailfish have been floating around the web for some time, but we now have a new leak which claims to show off the sides, front and back of the phone. The photos in question match up nicely with the concept renders which were released by Android Police a while back, depicting a metal frame similar to that of the HTC 10. The front of the phone is pretty sparse, but the back features a glass panel which covers the top portion with the phone’s flash and camera module located in the upper left corner. A bit lower is a circular fingerprint scanner.
No new details regarding the Nexus Sailfish’s specifications were revealed with the leaked image, but a second source also shared an image of one of HTC’s Nexus phones. While it’s not clear if it is the Nexus Sailfish or Nexus Marlin (keep in mind, the design of both phones will likely be identical), the device in question looks similar to the other leaked images. What’s not shows off in the picture is a glass panel which covers the entire back of the phone.
Nexus Sailfish to feature Snapdragon 820 SoC
What we find interesting is that the front of the Nexus Sailfish looks ver similar to the front of the HTC Desire 10 Pro. You’ll notice that the front speakers above the displays are the same size, both featuring a center-aligned proximity sensor and a front-facing camera to the left. Both devices are will likely feature a 5.5-inch display and expected to launch towards the end of September or beginning of October. We wouldn’t be surprised if additional leaks show that the two phones have more in common than a few design details.
RIP HTC :s
