HTC’s main focus for 2016 is the HTC 10, but the company isn’t quite ready to call it quits on its HTC One lineup. The company has introduced the new HTC One S9 which sports the same aluminum chassis as the One M9 and the front which appears to be pulled from the HTC Desire 728. The HTC One S9 has a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD panel, MediaTek® Helio X10 process, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, a 13MP camera with OIS and dual-LED flash on the back, front-facing UltraPixel camera and a 2840 mAh battery.
The phone measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 10.1mm, making it roughly 1mm thicker than the HTC One M9. We’re not sure why the device is thicker, but there’s a good chance that it uses a thicker LCD panel than what HTC sourced for the One M9. Unlike the HTC 10, the new HTC One S9 does come with front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers. HTC Germany has listed the phone for €499, but there’s no word on when the phone will go on sale.
