HTC hasn’t disclosed anything about the HTC 10′;s front-facing camera yet, but an inadvertent Tweet by someone who’s helping SmileBoot employee who’s helping set up for next week’s launch event revealed a handful of images take with the HTC 10’s optically stabilized selfie cam. That’s right, the UltraPixel camera on the front of the HTC 10 will come with optical image stabilization.
The images which were shared are Twitter are not the original size and have gone through Twitter’s compression algorithm, so it’s hard to tell if the image quality will be any better than that we were treated to last year with the HTC One M9’s front -facing UltraPixel camera. That being said, videos recorded with the front-facing camera should be a lot less shaky and low light shots will be since OIS does allow for the shutter to stay open longer, allowing the sensor to pull in as much light as possible.
Since OIS on the front-facing camera has been revealed only days before the phone’s official unveiling, we’re wondering if the HTC 10 has a few more hardware features that we have yet to hear about .
