Smart cases for your phone aren’t anything new. HTC’s flagship devices have been paired up with smart flip cases since the HTC One M8, but HTC is changing things up with the HTC 10 by introducing the Ice View Case. HTC’s Dot View cases of the past allowed you to view limited information from your phone’s screen through small perforations in the front cover, giving the case a bit of a retro feel. This time around, the Ice View Case is translucent on the front with a frosted glass-like finish. It displays the time and notification. You can even launch the camera and snap a picture without needing to flip back the front cover. The only down side is that the Ice View Case is priced at $49.99 on HTC’s site, but you should see the case show up at other online retailers for a bit less once the phone goes on sale.
We have not used it ourselves, but the HTC 10’s Ice View Case may be a must-have accessory – especially considering that the phone does come with an HTC Rapid Charge 3.0 and HTC High-Res Audio Earphones right in the box. Check out the video below for a quick look at the HTC 10’s Ice View Case’s functionality.

This looks nice, but I want the 10 to also support dot view! You can’t beat the retro awesomeness of Dot View!
