With two and a half weeks to go until the HTC 10 is officially unveiled, a new rumor claims that HTC will start selling its flagship smartphone as early as April 15 – at least in Taiwan. A retail launch HTC 10 three days after its unveiling may sound impossible, but HTC actually managed to start selling the HTC One M8 on Verizon a few hours after it was unveiled.
These types of launched don’t give the media much time to use and review the phone before customer need to decide if they are going to buy it or not, but we’d rather have the phone be available to the public sooner rather than later.
Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the HTC 10 will go on sale in the US or Europe. Unlocked versions of HTC’s flagship smartphones typically show up in Europe a week or two before US service providers start selling them, but that hasn’t always been the case. We’re keeping our fingers crossed, hoping for a global retail launch for the HTC 10 before May rolls around.
