GFXBench confirms HTC 10’s rumored specs

The details of the HTC 10’s spec sheet have been floating around on the web for some time now, but the rumors are now being “confirmed” thanks to a new listing for the phone in the GFXBench database.

The benchmark site’s profile page for the HTC 10 shows that the phone is running on Android 6.0.1, featuring a 5.1-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 clocked at 2.1GHz, 3.7GB of RAM, 24GB of usable internal storage, 11 MP (4000 x 3000) main camera with 4K video recording and a 4.8 MP (2592 x 1944) front-facing camera. As you can see, the specs are essentially the same as what the rumors have claimed, but we’re getting a little more detail as to the actual hardware configuration instead of the marketing specifications of the device.

While the HTC 10 will sport the same processor as the Samsung Galaxy S7, early benchmark scores indicate that HTC’s software tuning could make its phone significantly faster than Samsung’s. Of course, this is all based on pre-release software and hardware builds but it’s nice to know that HTC’s 2016 flagship may be able to outperform what Samsung has already released.
