The Sprint HTC One M9 received its Android Marshmallow update a week ago and now T-Mobile and Verizon customers will soon be able to get a taste of the new software update as well. HTC’s Mo Versi announced on Twitter that the Android 6.0 software builds for both the Verizon and T-Mobile variants of the HTC One M9 have received technical approval and will be released starting on February 16.
While a lot of people have been demanding the Android 6.0 update for their HTC phones, HTC is actually moving a lot faster than most Android smartphone manufacturers. The company has managed to release the update for nearly all unlocked and service provider variants of the HTC One M9 and One M8 already while LG has only released the update for the G4 in a few markets and Samsung’s Galaxy S6 update is practically nowhere to be found.
Happy Friday! Good news for T-Mobile HTC One (M9) owners! We've received technical approval on Marshmallow, with the OTA to start on 2/16.
