CES attendees have been able to test out the new HTC Vive Pre, but the new developer kit has also been making its way to game developers since the middle of December. Owlchemy Labs decided to record their unboxing of the HTC Vive Pre and shared it yesterday on their YouTube channel.
The developers seems pretty happy about the cosmetic and functional changes that HTC made with the Vive Pre and the controllers. They have also reported that the laser-tracking lighthouses are a lot quieter than the previous version.
The final HTC Vive packaging will definitely look different than what is shows off in Owlchemy Labs’ unboxing video, but it’s nice to see how things will progress.
