You know the drill by now. HTC is now pushing out the Android 6.0 update for Sprint’s HTC One M8 and HTC One M8 Harman Kardon. Like all of HTC’s other Marshmallow updates, the main update is quite large – 1.06GB to be exact. The update notification warns that the download and installation process can take up to 60 minutes. Once the update is installed, the HTC One M8 will have quite a few new features built in, including Google Now On Tap, Android doze and adaptive storage (check out the video below). You’ll also get countless tweaks within HTC Sense as well and new Theme options.
If you still have not received an update notification on your phone, you can go to Settings > Software Updates > Check Now to manually trigger the update process.
Sprint customers who purchased last year’s HTC One M9 will also be treated to the Marshmallow update soon. Mo Versi has not given an exact date, but he has mentioned that the update is expected to drop sometime next week.
