We’re know for a while that HTC Vive pre-orders would start in February, but Cher Wang gave out the exact date during an interview with The Telegraph. The date to circle on your calendar is February 29 – the week after Mobile World Congress.
Not much is known about the HTC Vive’s price, but we’re going to assume that it will be on par or higher than the $600 price of the Oculus Rift. While HTC showed off the new HTC Vive Pre developer kit (which also won a handful of awards) at CES last week, we still don’t know what the retail version of the Vive will look like. The size of the headset and the controllers will likely match those of the Vive Pre, but we have a feeling that HTC is planning a few more cosmetic tweaks.
How much would you be willing to pay for the HTC Vive?
